Science is being Attacked.

Attacks on science are ongoing, and we must fight back.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, multiple misinformation campaigns attacking vaccines, expert credibility, and science as a whole started the current War on Science. Those campaigns aimed to discredit scientists and experts for political gain, resulting in the deterioration of public understanding and trust in science.

Today, we are seeing an increase in systematic attacks to dismantle science on a national level, many which are highlighted below. While we can only speculate the “why?” behind this administration’s motives, it is clear that is it intentional and dangerous.

Columbia University's Silencing Science Tracker

Columbia Law School’s Sabin Center for Climate Change Law and the Climate Science Legal Defense Fund announce the relaunch of the Silencing Science Tracker, an online resource that monitors government efforts to silence science. The tracker has recorded over 700 instances of government attacks on science since the November 2016 election and has been cited in Congressional reports, hearings, news articles, and other publications.
